Three months ago, we've introduced Semantic Layer Sync to completely bridge the gap between the semantic layer and BI tools and enable instantaneous, zero-friction self-serve analytics. We've launched with several supported BI tools and promised to gradually expand the spectrum of BI tools that work with Semantic Layer Sync.
Today, we're delivering on that promise and introducing the Tableau support in Semantic Layer Sync. Now you can author the data model in Cube Cloud and have it seamlessly synchronized with Tableau Cloud or Tableau Desktop where you can access the data from the semantic layer to build workbooks and dashboards.
In the following demo video, you can see that it takes seconds to configure Semantic Layer Sync and surface a view from Cube's data model to a workbook both in Tableau Cloud and Tableau Desktop:
